This is a close up shot of two characters. This allows you to see what both characters are doing and the emotions on there face. This is effective in making the audience see that this is a sweet love scene. However I would not use this type of shot and position of actors in my film to show love, partly because the love I wish to show is between two brothers.

The way the lighting is done makes the character seem isolated. The fact that the character is also looking at something out of gridded window, allows the audience to see that the character is longing for what he is looking at.

This is in a close up shot, this shot allows the audience to see the character's face and it also allows the audience to see what the characters are doing. The lighting and the actual expression on the faces allows the audience to see that this is an extremely personal and emotional scene.
